The Holy Kingdom of Vuterburg-Scustein was a micronation founded on 11 October 2022 as a fully Christian micronation, and dissolved on 22 October of the same year. Despite the Holy Kingdom having its own Orthodox Church, the Holy Orthodox Church of Vuterburg-Scustein is anti-caesaropapist, meaning it opposes having a head of state as the leading religious figure of a church or other religious hierarchy.

Culture

The culture of Vuterburg-Scustein was largely that of Orthodox Christian traditions - families attended their local Church on a weekly basis and many family men were in the clergy, which made up a large portion of employment in the country.

The food was also unique to the country, with the national dish being roast pork and many in the cities choosing to attend the bi-weekly Church Dinners hosted at the larger city churches.

Economy

The Scusteinian economy was extremely small, with there being no major exports/imports incoming or outgoing and the national currency, the Scusteinian Strajeding (pronounced stra-yay-ding) only just being introduced.

Television

Vuterburg-Scustein had no national television network, and a 2022 census showed that over ¾ of Scusteinian households did not have a television or did not use theirs.

Politics & Government

Vuterburg-Scustein was a Christian absolute monarchy which had a devout belief in the Divine Right to Rule.

The head of state was the Sovereign of the Holy Kingdom of Vuterburg-Scustein, who handled all diplomatic and military affairs and was a hereditary royal title. The only Sovereign to ever rule was Pyrgopolynices I.

The head of government was the First Minister, who was in charge of external relations and running the legislature, the Holy Discernation. The First Minister served at the leisure of three factors:

a. The Sovereign's approval

b. The Holy Discernation's approval

c. The public (via election every 2 years) (the most often reason the title changed hands).

All members of the Holy Discernation and the First Minister were required to be active members (not clergy) of the Holy Orthodox Church of Vuterburg-Scustein. The King did not hold a clergy title due to his and the Church's anti-caesaropapist views.

Bills which wished to go through the Holy Discernation to become law must:

1. Pass a vote and debate in the Holy Discernation of the Lay

2. Pass a vote and debate in the Holy Discernation of the Blessed

3. Pass a vote in the Sovereign Grand Council

4. Gain the Sovereign's approval
