The Imperial Chancellor of Eniarku is the highest elected political office in the Empire of Eniarku. There are two ways to obtain the office: 1.) The receive appointment from the monarch; or 2.) If an election is called by the Imperial Assembly, the candidate with the most votes after two months is declared the winner. The Imperial Chancellor is also the Chairman of the Imperial Council, the upper house of the Imperial Assembly. As such, he or she presides over the meetings of the Council, and also gives a tie-breaking vote on a matter if needed. However, despite presiding over the Council, if the Imperial Chancellor is dismissed from office, the other members of the Imperial Council may remain in their respective positions.
