Imperial counties
An imperial county were one several internal units of the TDC Empire. imperial counties were held exclusively by an imperial count, that is, a count that is held under immediatly from the emperor, rather than from a different constituent monarch of different interal unit of the empire. These imperial counts did not hold a seat in parliament. Following the collapse of the TDC Empire, all imperial counties were turned into normal counties, with the exception of Hochland, which was ceded to the Unitary Republic of Turisa.
Power and political role
With the creation of the unit, imperial counts are definitively excluded from possessing an individual seat in the TDC Parliament that belonges to other constituent monarchs. They participate with the kaiser, and other constituent monarchs in ruling the Empire by virtue of being entitled to sit in on parliament meetings and give advice to MPs.
