Macawaninan Independance Day is observed on September 5, and is celebrated with parties, food, and the occasional firework show. It was first celebrated in 1790 after the UDOM had won their independence war.
Historical
One of the most famous Macawainian Independance Day parties was actually the first. It took place at the newly constructed Macawainia Hall, which still stands to this day, although very modernized, and not original at all. It was known for the first public appearance of Abdilin Kubusilman, the first Macawainian president.
