The Independent State of Vinkaland is a large empire-like communist micronation located in Dillon, Denver, and Kingwood, and Houston. Vinkaland became a micronation on 13 January 2017, when O'Neill wanted to expand land and be independent from the United States. He declared a land in a suburb of Houston, called Kingwood on May 28, 2017 which became the Cypress County of Vinkaland. Vinkaland, then declared several islands in Dillon Reservoir, Colorado, on 16 June 2017, declaring them Orleans and Sans counties. Sans County was satire, based off of the game Undertale's character, Sans. Vinkaland's capital is located in Vinkaland's Vinka County and is called Iris City. On November 29, 2019. anything went into air. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinkaland closed its borders betweem 25 March 2020 and 28 April 2021. The Vinkaland borders were opened on 28 April 2021 after reports of the spread of the COVID-19 virus slowing down in Denver, Dillon, and Houston. The flag is 2 blue stripes and a red base with a star. History
Vinkaland was founded November 29, 2016 by then-11 year old Alva O'Neill in Denver, Colorado, who wanted to make his own country as an experiment for school, but then became a full-blown micronation on January 13, 2017. Vinkaland's first airport was built, the Vinkaland Airport. The first airplane, a $450 dollar RC plane, launched into the sky with 16 LEGO passengers on September 2, 2020, flying from Vinka County to the Colorado-Vinkaland border, landing in a field. On December 21, 2020, Alva went to Cypress County, Vinkaland, and established the small town of Blue Tree. On April 28, 2021. On (DATE NEEDED) the Vinkaland Space Agency (VSA) opened and launched a bottle rocket called the "Spirit of Iris City" marking the first time in Vinkadian history that a rocket was launched.
