Avalon, officially the Kingdom of Avalon, is a Celtic country based in the county of Somerset, but also claims Dinas Emrys in Wales and Glyn Yr Afalon in Cornwall, as well as the ruins of the great Celtic fortress, Tintagel. It claims to be the seventh Celtic nation, after Brittany. Avalon was originally formed under the name Arden (after the legendary forest in a Shakespearian play) on 4 August 2022, but the famous October Constitution changed the country's name to Avalon, after the legendary island where King Arthur was supposedly buried.

History

St Michael's, the base of the Kingdom of Avalon and the official state palace.

Avalon was first established on 4 August 2022 while Zamir Brodrick was on holiday in southern Spain, thinking of forests and natural beauty, and he came up with the idea of the "Kingdom of Arden". Later, on 2 October, he wrote the October Constitution which changed Arden's name to Avalon. It also made St Michael's as the capital of the nation. The country's national anthem The Prince was written on 7 October, retelling the story of the Avalonian folk hero Glyn Dwr. Avalon currently has no king, but a system known the as "Judge" system has been formed, with a religous judge in charge of one region (e.g. Dinas Emrys, Tintagel), and they are all controlled by the High Judge, who acts as the chief advisor and prime minister of the state. He or she is sometimes considered equal to the king, who controls the army and government, but not the religion.
