The Kingdom of Hannover is the continuation of the Old Kingdom of Hannover. The Kingdom of Hannover was declared on the 5th of March 2024 after Julie Andersen got tired of her home country being occupied.

History

The Old Kingdom of Hannover was illegally annexed by Prussia on the 20 September 1866, which King George V was not happy about, he was exiled to Britain afterwards. During the exile he would join the British Army and would be appointed honorary full general in 1876, but would die 2 years later on the 12th of June 1878.

The only Hannover that would exist afterwards was the Province of Hannover in the German Empire, and the State of Hannover in allied occupied Germany. They would completely wipe Hannover off the map after the occupation on the 23rd of November 1946 by making Hannover a part of the new province of Lower Saxony.

On the 5th of March 2024, Queen Julie I declared the independence of the Kingdom of Hannover, she would state "The occupation of Hannover will continue no further" and then sign the independence of Hannover, with the temporary capital being Schandorf which is a small village in Hannover.

Foreign Relations

The Kingdom of Hannover has no foreign relations other than a boarder dispute with the Federal Republic of Germany.

Government

Hannover is a semi-constitutional monarchy ruled by the New House of Hannover. The Old House of Hannover still exists, but is banned from representing the people of Hannover due to them not actively doing anything about the occupation after the death of King George V. The Parliament makes all the decisions for Hannover, though the royal family has most the power over the parliament.

Administrative divisions

Hannover only has 3 administrative divisions. The temporary capital city of Hannover is Schandorf, with the City of Hannover being the future capital city of Hannover.

Army

The Kingdom of Hanover maintained an army after the Napoleonic Wars. In 1832, King William IV of Hanover and the United Kingdom issued his troops with British Army uniforms, but they differed slightly from their original British versions. When the personal union with the United Kingdom ended in 1837 and Ernst August ascended to the crown of Hanover, he replaced their uniforms with Prussian Army-style ones, which included the pickelhaube spiked helmet for his Guard Corps. By 1866 they wore a more Austrian style of uniform, with only the guard corps keeping the Prussian one. During the Austro-Prussian War, the Hanoverian Army fought and defeated the Prussians during its march south towards Austria, at the Battle of Langensalza. However, it was later surrounded and forced to surrender to Prussia.

In 2024 when the Kingdom of Hanover was revived, the army was too, but they only have the manpower of 1.
