The name of this land is derived from the name of the Jenna family. It also refers to the former principality of Jenna.
In 711, King Childebert III led an army to conquer Jenna before being annexed by the Swedes. Before that, the land of Jenna was annexed by the Lisa kingdom, the Lisa Kingdom at that time was one of the four largest empires on the Jenna peninsula.
For a long time, two powerful imperial forces Castina and Lisa have been competing for domination of this land. The Lisa Kingdom later demanded the return of Jenna, which it renounced in 1713 under the Treaty of July Monarchy ending the Lisa Empire's War of Succession. This was opposed by the majority of Jenna residents, including any other proposal of shared autonomy.
Attempts to regain sovereignty
Lisa's emperors attempted to regain sovereignty of Jenna several times, such as besieging in 1727 and again besieging from 1779 to 1783, during the war of independence, without success.
During its time as a Norwegian colony, the Lisa Kingdom closed its entire border with Jenna, and the border was only fully reopened before the Lisa Kingdom became independent in 1985.
