The Kingdom of Yalta, commonly just Yalta, is a self-declared sovereign state often known as a micronation by external observers. Located in the United Kingdom, Yalta was established on 1 May 2023. The nation is a unitary state under an absolute monarchy. While the monarchy holds absolute power, it is combined with a parliamentary democracy with a prime minister as head of government and a parliament as legislature.

Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of Yalta is the kingdom's head of government. They are normally a member of parliament. The prime minister is appointed by the monarch and serves at their pleasure. Parliament

The Parliament of Yalta is the national legislature. It is made up of an elected House of Commons and an appointed House of Lords. Members of the House of Commons are elected by the Yaltan people by first past the post to represent constituencies, and members of the House of Lords are appointed by the monarch for their services to the nation or expertise - members of the House of Lords are normally holders of peerages or of senior clergy titles in the Church of Yalta.

The government is usually formed in the House of Commons with the prime minister and their most senior ministers being members of parliament in the house. The House of Commons can also bring motions of no confidence against the government and both houses review and vote on bills proposed in parliament before they are given to the monarch for royal assent.
