The Korea Service Medal (KSM) is a military service medal of the North American Armed Forces that was first created in 2016 when it was signed into law by Emperor William. The bill to create the proposal was introduced and championed by Field marshal Friedrich Albrecht. Two designs for the medal were proposed. Both designs were done by College of Arms.
Criteria
The Korean Service Medal is authorized for those members of the North American Armed Forces who have served duty in South Korea in support of the defense of the Republic of Korea. To qualify for the KSM, a service member must have served at least thirty consecutive days in the Korean theater. The medal is also granted for citizens who are serving on active duty in their respective macronational armed forces.
