Joining

Hello! I would like to join this microproject. If allowed, I would be a great help to this microproject.

Please respond to my User Talk Page. Thanks! --Imperator Elias Forestriae talk 22:36, 10 January 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Text cited that is clearly informal

The text cited in some of the articles which are maintained by MicroProject Current Events are highly informal in how they are, such as the text from "Lizzy's in a box" being cited in one of them without even the added quotebox around it. As well this has in some cases degraded the articles, such as in cases where it is more sounding like the government is treating MicroWiki as a soapbox to say what they think rather than it being an encyclopaedic telling of the reply. An example of this as well found in the page on the death of HM The Queen is the section which simply reads "His Grace the Lord Exchequer and Grand duke conveys his most sincere condolences and stands in Solidarity of the British People and nation." which sounds more first person and informal rather than encyclopaedic. Proposed talk page template

Regarding Devinpurcell's recent contributions on removing unsourced content, I was wondering if a talk page template stating that recent events article require citations would be helpful. I was thinking:

I would love to hear what you all think. This would perhaps help rid of informal statements. Additionally, I have seen "in a tweet" stated in a few articles without actually linking said tweet, which makes it rather annoying to try to find manually. It looks good! Though, it should note that in cases where an article becomes extremely long (such as Micronational reactions to the 2022 Russo-Ukrainian war) it should change the way the list is formatted. Perhaps there could even be a set entry or byte limit? ZabëlleNB ♥︎ (formerly Z Luna Skye) (talk | edits) 17:54, 15 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Status of the Project

Hey everyone! It is clear the project was doomed to fail from the start. This was my first serious MicroProject I've started and I've definitely learned a lot from just trial and error, as well as working on MP:PA. I will try to take some time to revamp the whole project and make it look like it wasn't made by a child. Devinpurcell (talk) (contribs) 13:07, 24 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
