History

Early history

Colin was once an ancient farmland inhabited by those who sought 'refuge' from the steaming smog of Belfast City, it's a place rich in history from the great Irish famine (1846) till the terrible troubles (1970s).

Founding

Colin was first formed on the 11th January 2022 as the former 'Confederate states of Colin'. The mega-state had hostile politics and divided ideologies with each party within the mega-state having their own unique ideology and leadership. The fresh nation was extremely unstable and relied on imported goods and foreign worker schemes to tackle the high unemployment rate which devastated the economy through the early years until eventual progress was made, and even by then it was too late because of the increasing tension within the parties that made up the CSOC parliament.

Invasion of the Neighbours

During January 2022, neighbour of CSOC the 'Commonwealth of Lisburn and Castlereagh' aggressively invaded the Colin aiming for an expansion of it's commonwealth into former Belfast City nations. The invasion shocked the region with countries aiding the Colin and local nations such as former friend and close neighbour 'Poleglass Democratic Republic' with weapons and supplies to counter invade Lisburn and Castlereagh. This invasion began the rearmament process of the Colin which is still present to this day, it also showed the collective support that Colin could call on it's population. After two days of extensive support and a surprisingly slow invasion into Eastern Colin, Lisburn's government faced denunciation and began losing moral support from it's community resulting in the withdrawal of Lisburn's military from the Colin and a joint peace agreement calling for the end of the oppressive war.

Fall of the CSOC and the Rise of the Irish Council

After the fatal invasion by Lisburn, the CSOC had went through multiple snap elections and had been left with instability after various assassination attempts on party leaders by Lisburn Espionage units during the invasion the country began to slowly turn to more extreme parties, with the formation of the communist party sparking debates within the parliament and the eventual formation of the Irish Council party by leader Gerry Adams who had established the 'Felons Independent State'. Mr Adams quickly used the crippling economic situation in the area for propaganda for the Irish Council party which was growing rapidly due to it's openly republicanism ideology and push for embracing local Celtic culture. The Irish Council quickly overpassed the communist party, making deals with smaller parties to gain more seats in the CSOC parliament when eventually it's support grew so much an eventual referendum was held. The Irish Council was welcomed boldly by the Colin community with the referendum showing that 78% of the Colin voters said yes to the new government.

Irish Council's Successes and Failure

The Irish Council was in charge of the Colin, Felons and Gransha alongside a large puppet government in Warren point which meant long range communication was key between each of the states within the Council which was now being ran by head of the council 'Gerry Adams' and head of each states within a government council which would meet every two weeks to discuss problems in each areas with Warren points long distance always becoming a major topic. The economy was equally difficult, organising joint economic strategies by the government council became an annoyance as time went on due to the distance of each states from each other. The military was one of the main successes of the Irish Council, it grew rapidly and held daily army patrols with new researched technology especially when it became the main police force within each states, After months a large portion of the military split away from the Irish Council forming the 'National Power Party' a political and military party made up of extreme dissidents from the Irish Council. Eventually due to lack of investigation into the NPP, the party was able to takeover Warren Points government cutting it off from the Irish Council leading to the rise of communism within the Irish Council.

Division

CSOC soldier veteran 'Michael Ferguson' and now leader of the 'Poleglass Home Front' (PHF) would lead change into the Poleglass parliament following the formation of his strongly authoritarian party. He, alongside former PIP vice president Shay would launch a spectacular election campaign which boasted the 'change of the times' within Poleglasses politics. The PHF became the second largest party after a strongly swayed election result which left the PIP - TPIP coalition in fear of a civil war, the president of Poleglass and leader of PHF would sign an agreement which would divide Poleglass into PIP ran Northern Poleglass and PHF ran Southern Poleglass declaring the formation of the Military Council of Colin.

Modern MCOC (Military Council of Colin)

=The First Advancement

The Military Council of Colin has played a peaceful yet intimidating role within West Belfast, it remained peaceful with local nations until it invaded newly reformed ‘Dunmurry Republic’. The justification for war was that Northern Dunmurry’s population had ethnic origins to Colin. The war went by in the space of a few days, with Colin mobilising its army and advancing quickly through Northern Dunmurry using its swift artillery barrages and marching movements. After the victory within Northern Dunmurry, the Dunmurry army became exhausted and plead for peace. The MCOC Leader Michael accepted with a treaty being put in place so Northern Dunmurry joined the Colin, whilst Southern Dunmurry (ethnically non-Colin) remained as a puppet state under Colin’s leadership.

The Last Straw

Tensions grew on the 16th September 2022 following multiple pro-Poleglass protests within Southern Poleglass (disputed space between Colin & Poleglass). The protests eventually led to the growing membership of the ‘Poleglass Freedom Fighters’. The PFF led strikes within Poleglass, pressuring the government to strike Colin once and for all or to make a deal to handover Southern Poleglass, they made a bold entrance to the Poleglass parliament making it to PGTV Live showing the people of Poleglass that they had be reformed and regrouped and were ready for violence. After the news report, the PFF and Poleglass government declared war on Colin, sending armed civilians into Colin to retake Southern Poleglass. The war lasted a few days and injured hundreds with many also dead it also impacted Colin Glen Forest Park with the ‘Great Colin Glen Fire 22’. After failed treaty signings and negotiations, eventually peace was made after the result of Brian’s Wells (a majority Poleglassian supported area in Southern Poleglass) referendum. Colin was given the option of a referendum to rejoin Poleglass. The referendum went ahead and Brian’s Well rejoined Poleglass, a peace treaty was signed and peace was made finally.
