The Minister of Treasury, sometimes known as the Treasury Minister, is the head of the Department of Treasury and is the chief financial officer of the federal government of the United Federation, as well as a member of the cabinet. The minister of the treasury serves as the principal advisor to the president of the United Federation on all matters pertaining to economic and fiscal policy.
Powers and Functions
The minister is responsible for formulating and recommending domestic and international financial, economic, and tax policy, participating in the formulation of broad fiscal policies that have general significance for the economy, and managing the public debt. The minister also manages any emergency funds authorised by the government.
The minister also has to sign banknotes before they can become legal tender.
Appointment
The treasury minister is appointed by the President of Aumarea after they take office. The treasury minister is always appointed on the advice and consent of the senate.
