The Monarch, or King if male and Queen if female (Spanish: Rey) is the head of state of Essizia. The current king is Bennett I, who has reigned since 2023.
Powers
The King owns all minerals in Essizia except for those owned by private corporations. The other aspects of mining are also controlled by the King.
Administrative
The King appoints all members of the Senate and appoints all Premiers. The King is also the head of the judicial system.
Cultural
Other powers of the King include allocating land, initiating national gatherings, disbursing wealth, organizing social events, and taking part in rituals. Any offence against the King or his family or their property is considered a heinous crime.
Succession
The King is traditionally succeeded by the eldest of the male sons.
