This is a list of the National Symbols of the Kingdom of Efransa. The national symbols were established by Royal Proclamation 2020-05-1-01.

The three colors of the National flag reference the Four Pillars of Efransa: White represents truth/justice, blue Wisdom and Community, and the Green prosperity. The overall design references the Maradian Flag from the United Kingdom. The four sections (the white field, green bend, narrow white bend, and blue field) reference the four stripes of the Efrasachin flag.

History

The current National flag is believed the third lawfully adopted standard of Efransa. The second being the Four Stripes (which continues to serve as a frequent national emblem, albeit without the fleurs-de-lis from the original design). Various flag preceded the current, including the Audelan Flag, the First Imperial Flag, and various other flags.

The Coat of Arms of the Efrasachin Empire is one of the key national symbols of the Empire, and is seen on the obverse of the Great Seal and most government logos as well. The current coat of arms was designed on April 14, 2021, by Dowager King Ethan I.

National Anthem

The national anthem is Everlasting Efransa, which consists of roughly the first three minutes of "Epic March" by John Ireland.

National Mottos

The national motto as displayed on the Coat of Arms is "Per Aspera Ad Astra" (Latin: Through hardships to the stars. Other mottos are also used, such as "Plus Ultra" and "Excelsior".

Other National Symbols

The Efrasachin bull is established as the “national historic animal”. The Manatee is established as the living national animal, and the Owl as the national bird. The national flower is the Chrysanthemum, while Oak is the national tree. The national food is an Orange Creamsicle, while the national dish is Tacos. The national beverage is Shirley Temples, and the Granny Smith Apple is the national fruit.

The national day is October 11, “Efransa Day”. April 10 (Restoration Day), April 19 (Constitution Day), and Independence Day (June 21) are the other three holidays in the “Big Four”. The national piece of clothing is the Cardigan. King Ethan is the father of the nation, while The Countess of Machy and The Duke of Arreau are designated as “persons of national importance”.
