OutcomeFormation of Opstandian Command, temporary incorporation of Opstandia into Baustralian Empire.

Operation Regroup is a Baustralian military peace support operation in which the small politically-run militias of Opstandia were incorporated into a command of the Baustralian Army for the purposes of non-politically controlled defence of Opstandia. It was feared the politically run militia system, by means of political disagreement, was very volatile, leading to multiple civil conflicts in the nation.

The operation was grouped by phases, with the first phase starting and completed on 11 September 2023. The first phase was the implementation phase, and reorganized the command structure of the Baustralian Army from type to location, and directed both legislatures to allow the entrance of Opstandia into the Baustralian Empire.

The second phase was carried out on 12 and 13 September, although certain components of this phase were skipped. It removed the Baustralian Dragoons from the supplementary active unit list only, instead of the Parker Regiment and naval component as well. By the next day, the Baustralian Dragoons were reformed and restaffed.

The third phase was meant to last a month, under the leadership of King John, to quell any civil uprisings. The general citizenry, while supportive of the defence force, wished to return Denver to the throne. This was done, and Opstandia was returned, as it was deemed more safe to do so than to keep John as Emperor. The operation was completed on 14 September, and Opstandia retains the services of the Baustralian Armed Forces through a contract.

Aftermath

Mutiny

The Opstandian mutiny was a revolt by Baustralian Army soldiers based in Opstandia who also worked for the Opstandian Ministry of War and Defence. The mutiny, which occurred on 14 September 2023, was the most serious breach of discipline in Baustralian military history. The mutiny was triggered by the Baustralian rule over Opstandia, which was generally unproblematic.

The mutiny lasted for 23 minutes, thus being dubbed in Opstandia the 23-Minute War. It was not a war or conflict, and there was no engagement on either side. The two involved members, a Captain Lucas Jones of the Baustralian Dragoons, and a Lance corporal Marigona Sylvester of the League of Nations Regiment, were accused of committing, and conspiracy to commit, mutiny. A court marital is expected, to be presided over by a military and civil judge. In addition, the Captain was charged with failure to supress a mutiny, and the Lance corporal for obstructing operations.
