An Act to give effect to Her Majesty's declaration of abdication; and for purposes connected therewith.

Introduction
Whereas Her Majesty by His Royal Message of the thirty-first day of May in this present year [2018] has been pleased to declare that She is irrevocably determined to renounce the Throne for Herself and Her descendants, and has for that purpose executed the Instrument of Abdication set out in the Schedule to this Act, and has signified Her desire that effect thereto should be given immediately:
Be it therefore enacted by the Queens's most Excellent Majesty, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Provision
1 - Effect of Her Majesty's declaration of Abdication
- Immediately upon the Royal Assent being signified to this Act the Instrument of Abdication executed by Her present Majesty on the thirty-first day of May, Two thousand and eighteen, set out in the Schedule to this Act, shall have effect, and thereupon Her Majesty shall cease to be Queen and there shall be a demise of the Crown, and accordingly the member of the Royal Family then next in succession to the Throne shall succeed thereto and to all the rights, privileges, and dignities thereunto belonging.
- Her Majesty, Her issue, if any, and the descendants of that issue, shall not after Her Majesty's abdication have any right, title or interest in or to the succession to the Throne.

2 - This Act may be cited as Her Majesty's Declaration of Abdication Act, 2018.
Schedule
- I, Katelynn of Edstmae, do hereby declare My irrevocable determination to renounce the Throne for Myself and for My descendants, and My desire that effect should be given to this Instrument of Abdication immediately.
- In token whereof I have hereunto set My hand this thirty-first day of May, two thousand and eighteen, in the presence of the witnesses whose signatures are subscribed.
