The politics of Kapreburg function within a framework of a unitary absolute monarchy, in which the King serves as the head of state. A Parliament is established in the constitution, consisting of one house, the House of Lords. Originally, the constitution established a lower house but this section was removed from the constitution upon the passing of the Commons Dissolution Act, after it was decided the House of Commons was impractical. The constitution also establishes an office of Prime Minister, and a Deputy Prime Minister. The Prime Minister holds executive power.

Although Kapreburg is an absolute monarchy, they have a constitution, which establishes the absolute monarchy. Furthermore, absolute power is rarely exercised by the monarch, and Parliament meets often.
