The president of the socialist Union of Alabama is proposed by the politburo standing committee of the National workers party, the only allowed party in the country and he is then confirmed by a national vote on which the workers party president is the only candidate. The current president is Tobey Wyles, his term will end when he or the people’s Parliament declares an election
