Chrimate, formerly known as the Principality of Chrimate, is a micronation established on 17 July 2023, located on the Küçükkiremit and Büyükkiremit islands in Muğla, Turkey,with the capital-base in mainland Muğla. Chrimate also has territory located in Greece, which is a province called Hellenischenstaat that has joined Chrimate with the Hellenischenstaat operation on October 31st 2023. Founded with the vision of promoting peace, environmental sustainability, and the welfare of all living beings, Chrimate aims to create a harmonious and inclusive community.
The Principality of Chrimate (Islands) operates as a principality with visionary leaders, (Fürst) Muffin and (Fürst) John Smith, guiding its direction. With two unique prime ministers, Çakıl the cat and Laika the dog, the micronation strongly values animal welfare and the well-being of all living beings. Its legal system is based on the laws of the Republic of Turkiye, ensuring justice and protection for residents. Laws strictly prohibit harming any living animal on the islands, reflecting its commitment to environmental conservation. Chrimate is a beacon of openness and inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities to contribute to its growth. The territory encompasses the Küçükkiremit and Büyükkiremit islands in Muğla, offering a picturesque and serene environment. The flag, with black, white, and green stripes, symbolizes peace, purity, and environmental sustainability. Etymology
The name Chrimate comes form the Turkish name Kiremit, which is the name of the two main islands; Büyükkiremit and Küçükkiremit
History
The Establishment
Long before the micronation has formed, (approximately 7 years ago) Muffin joined the already-existing neighborhood / district of modern day Chrimeta, and started building strong relationships with the people. During the time there has been many problems with the administration (not the micronation, the district which does not have any relation with the micronation) but it has all been overcomed.
The other modern day Fürst John Smith also visited the district every year and helped Muffin make the modern day government building become better. When the building and the whole district was modernized and at peace, the idea of establishing a micronation came to mind.
The first step for establishing a micronation was to mark the territories. They both agreed on selecting Chrimeta as the capital, since it is the most civilized territory that they could choose, and it already had borders which convinced them even more, but than the idea of establishing the nation including the nearby islands came to mind. Adding the islands to the nation before establishing it could make the nation much bigger, and help it build it's character. The Principality of Chrimate (Islands) was established by Muffin and John Smith, declaring theirselves as the Fürst's of the micronation.
After the Establishment
-The Principality of Chrimate (Islands) formed friendly relationships, and befriended the Republic of Molossia. -A small pile of dirt and sand near the Küçükkiremit island was annexed, and the reason for the annexation was to get more land for the micronation. -The Fürst's declared military administration, which means the Principality Military and the Marshals will take over the government. -The Principality of Chrimate (Islands) and Kingdom of Raritania became allies. -UNAM has been formed. -Chrimate Chess Federation has been formed. -Hellenischenstaat which is located in Greece joined Chrimate.
Politics and government
The government is ruled by Fürst's, which is a title that may be given to anyone that earns the Marshal title, which means joining the military and earning the most prestigous title.
The "Fürst" title can also be translated and seen as the "Chancellor" title.
Head of government
The government is rules by "Fürst's", and most of the power of the nation belongs to them. The current Fürst's are self-declared when the micronation was established. To become a leader, you have to earn the Marshal title, which means joining the military and earning the most prestigous title.
Law and order
The legal system of the Principality of Chrimate is based on the laws of the Republic of Turkiye. It ensures justice, fairness, and protection for all individuals within its jurisdiction. In alignment with its core principles, the micronation has implemented specific legislation that strictly prohibits the harm of any living animal on the islands. This reflects Chrimate's dedication to animal welfare and the preservation of its unique natural environment.
Military
The military of Chrimate is being led by the Fürst's, and has two military officers. The military has an arsenal with variety of supplies, most of them being airsoft firearms.
