The Republic of Kalossia (ROK), often simply known as Kalossia, is a micronation located in Central Arkansas. It is completely surrounded by the United States. It claims a modest territory of about 0.17 acres and contains 3 people, all but one of whom reside within the Republic’s borders.
Kalossia’s territory was, before colonization by European powers, inhabited mainly by the Quapaw and Caddo peoples. It was incorporated into the French Empire and handed to the United States after the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, and was slowly settled. Kalossia was officially declared on 27 April 2023, after fears over what an Aglesian invasion would mean for the people that would join Kalossia. The roots of the nation were likely set in the (faked) Pulaskian Civil War The founder and current president of Kalossia is Brayden A, and there is no known holder of the position of Vice President The Legislative body of Kalossia remains unknown and possibly does not exist. Currently, Kalossia has established inter-micronational relations with neighboring Aglesia and New Pulaskia (and formerly Xaidia).
Etymology
The name of Kalossia is taken from the name of the Pokémon region Kalos, which itself comes from the Greek κάλλος (kállos), meaning beauty or handsome. It is unknown of the exact reason for the choosing this name.
