The Republic of Socaland, commonly known as Socaland Republic or simply Socaland, is a nation primarily located in North America. It consists of seven provinces, two federal districts, and five un-federal regions. The nations surrounding Socaland are the United States of America, the Republic of Croatia, and the Republic of Serbia. Its capital is the city of New-Kapitaland, with it also being the richest city in the country.

History

Socialand

On 5 February 2022, the country known as the Socialist Republic of Socialand founded as an Anti-Liberland movement, meant to be a protest of the government of Liberland, its market system, and the direction it was heading. On 6 February 2022, The Socialist Republic of Socialand was Renamed to The Republic of Socaland, with a flag change, and some land changes. The new country claimed the current mainland during this time, and kept the old land as two territories under the Socaland Banner.

Nations Council and MSAO

On 7 February 2022, the Republic of Socaland joined a Micronational Alliance known as the Nations Council. This alliance was a group of nations who were to help one another in times of crisis, while also helping to make laws and establish one another. Along with this, on 20 March 2022, Socaland joined MSAO, or Micronational Security Alliance Organization, which was a group of nations with "Trust Fall" diplomacy (this being "If someone attacks you, we attack them" and vice versa). This relation was ended on 3 May 2022, when a scuffle about the laws and rights concerning abortion caused The Republic of Socaland to leave both Nations Council and MSAO.

Salem Conflict

On 8 February 2022, the Imperial Kingdom of Salem signed a document stating that President Z. would become king of Salem for two months. In this time, the Imperial Kingdom of Salem became the Republic of Salem, a puppet state of Socaland, but after Socaland recognized Chezoslovakia, the Salem government rebelled, and reformed the previous kingdom. The Republic of Salem and the Imperial Kingdom of Salem refused to recognize one another until, on 15 April 2022, about 2 months later, the Republic of Socaland realized it has no true control over Salem, and dissolved the Republic of Salem, and reinstated connections with the IKS.

The Triple Threat Alliance

On 5 May 2022, the Republic of Socaland, the Republic of Vislan, and the Republic of Mania formed the micronational alliance known as the 'Triple Threat Alliance'. This alliance has been created as a 'safety against Almendria' alliance, which has been proven necessary since the rise of Almendria and their governing of "sovereign republics" in their nation. Along with this, the alliance also works as an information hub about every and any threat to any nations within said alliance; This will work in the case that another nation forms a plot against one in the TTA. The Triple Threat Alliance abruptly ended on July 25, 2022 after risen tensions between the Republic of Mania and the Republic of Socaland.

The Brotherhood

On 11 July 2022, an Anarchist group known as "The Brotherhood" took control of Lyrica, a city located within the province of Oaks. The Brotherhood claimed that Socaland was a "Evil government that believed in the death of many for the gain of few!" and spread rapidly around the economically high areas within Oaks. The Brotherhood went on to commit 3 accounts of destruction of state-property and committed an attack known as "May 11th" where the first experimental public transport system was destroyed. Though May 11 took place before the formation of The Brotherhood, the act was committed by many members of the Anarchist group, so they are put to blame. Operation Woodwork was started when the SIA got word of a conspiracy to invite the President to a park, and then hold him at gun point to dissolve Socaland. On 26 July 2022, Operation Woodwork came into effect when the President was invited to a park, where when The Brotherhood pulled a BB gun out, the military surrounded the conspirators, and held them under house arrest. On 28 July 2022, 'The Battle of New-Kapitaland' took place when 2 members of The Brotherhood broke out, and attempted to force the President to dissolve the nation by going to the capital building with weapons, with the intention of threatening the President. When these 2 arrived, the military took action to protect the President, and captured the 2 individuals. After The Battle of New-Kapitaland, the last stand of The Brotherhood was defeated, and The Republic of Socaland had secured safety.

The Salem Incident

On August 15, 2022, F.C. Z imprisoned the Deputy Prime Minister of Salem since he suspected that the DPM was a spy from Almendria. It ended up culminating in a large argument that resulted in the DPM getting banned. The DPM of Salem then decided to propose a bill on August the 27th that passed on the 28th in Salem's Parliament that suspended diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Socaland Civil War

A Pro-Capitalist and Pro-American protest happened in Socaland. Z tried to stop them but they still are going on. Due to this, Socaland might erupt into a civil war between the Loyalist Socialists and the Rebel Capitalists.

Geography

Mainland

The Nation of Socaland's mainland is situated in the Conejo Valley, bordering the American state of California. It lies halfway between the American Cities of Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, and 12 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. The reign is contained in a flat surface, near mountains outside the nation's boarders.

Siga Island

From the days of the Republic of Socialand, Siga Island was claimed as an anti-Liberland statement, but after the establishment of Socaland, the island stayed claimed. It is now a boarder dispute between Liberland and Socaland. As for the island itself, it is a small island between the countrys of Croatia and Serbia, with neither one claiming the land.

Government

The Electoral Cabinet

The Electoral Cabinet is a group of people that consist of the following elected roles: The President, The Minister, The Governor of New Kapitaland, The Governor of Centralis, The Governor of Oaks, The Governor of Norsete, The Governor of Westerlake, The Governor of North Tisuću, & The Governor of South Tisuću. Along with this, it also contains these roles which are not elected, but given to by the president: Head of Military, Head of Public Defense and Propaganda, & Head of International Communication. This group of people are aloud to prepose and come up with laws / government actions. If The Electoral Cabinet agrees on a law, then it is sent to The House of Representatives. Along with with, if the House of Representatives come up with a law / government action, it is sent to The Electoral Cabinet, which will either Veto it, and send it back, or agree, and send it to the High Court of Socaland.

House of Representatives

The House of Representatives is a group of elected citizens who's job is to help make and pass laws in Socaland, while also being a voice for the people of Socaland while being in the Government. If this group of people wish to prepose or come up with law / government action, then they must vote and then send it to the The Electoral Cabinet! Along with with, if the The Electoral Cabinet come up with a law / government action, it is sent to The House of Representatives, which will either vote to Veto it, and send it back, or agree, and send it to the High Court of Socaland.

The High Court

The High Court is the final stage in the law making system of Socaland. Once a proposal has passed the House of Representatives or The Electoral Cabinet, the preposed law will then be given to 3 elected people known as The High Judges. These people will look at the new preposed law, and then look through every Law, The Bill of Rights, and the Constitution to ensure that said preposed law isn't breaking any laws / rights itself! If they say the law is all clear, the law will pass and become a real law! If the law doesn't pass their tests, then it will be sent back to House of Representatives and The Electoral Cabinet to be edited / scrapped.
