The retreat of the government of the Kingdom of Kanindé from Canindé D.C (Portuguese: Retirada do Governo do Reino de Kanindé de Canindé D.C), also known as the Royal Family retreat from Canindé D.C or the Great Retreat (Portuguese: A Grande Retirada) in the new stablished province, refers to the exodus of the remnants of the recognized government of the Kingdom of Kanindé (now Empire of Kanindé) to the Holiday Palace (Oliveira Palace) on 24 January 2023 after the Great Northeast Flag Replacement in the capital.
