Rex v. Jones was a Baustralian court martialn descision. Around 14 September 2023, members of the Ministry of Defence and War of Opstandia conspired alongside two members of the Opstandia Command of the Baustralian Army. These members were stripped of all military ranks, orders, and decorations. They were charged with various military service crimes.

Mutiny

The Opstandian mutiny was a revolt by Baustralian Army soldiers based in Opstandia who also worked for the Opstandian Ministry of War and Defence. The mutiny, which occurred on 14 September 2023, was the most serious breach of discipline in Baustralian military history. The mutiny was triggered by the Baustralian rule over Opstandia, which was generally unproblematic.

The mutiny lasted for 23 minutes, thus being dubbed in Opstandia the 23-Minute War. It was not a war or conflict, and there was no engagement on either side. The two involved members, a Captain Lucas Jones of the Baustralian Dragoons, and a Lance corporal Marigona Sylvester of the League of Nations Regiment, were accused of committing, and conspiracy to commit, mutiny. A court marital is expected, to be presided over by a military and civil judge. In addition, the Captain was charged with failure to supress a mutiny, and the Lance corporal for obstructing operations.

Trial

The two accused, represented by another member of the Command, plead not guilty while admitting to the mutiny. After brief deliberation, both judges rendered a guilty verdict and were removed from the Baustralian Armed Forces.
