The Grand Duchy of Soleria is a sovereign country located on the Iberian Peninsula. It was founded on April 1, 2023, after declaring independence from Spain and proclaiming the creation of Soleria.

History

Soleria is a nation with a long history, having been inhabited by various cultures over the centuries. The region that is currently part of the Grand Duchy of Soleria was under Roman influence for centuries, and then was part of the Kingdom of Aragon during the Middle Ages. During modern times, the region was an important part of the Spanish Crown.

In 2023, after a long process of consultation and deliberation, the people of Soleria declared their independence from Spain and proclaimed the creation of the Grand Duchy of Soleria. His Excellency Don Enric Martí i Soler was elected Grand Duke on April 3. The Constituent Assembly drafted a Constitution that established the foundations of the nation as a sovereign parliamentary democracy on April 9.

Geography

The Grand Duchy of Soleria is located on the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula, bordering France and Andorra to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the east, the Strait of Gibraltar to the south, and Portugal to the west. The territory of Soleria is composed of a wide variety of landscapes, including mountains, valleys, plains, and coasts.

Montsol is the capital of the Grand Duchy of Soleria and is a city located on the east coast of the country, near the mouth of the Soler River. Other important cities include Riuverd and Sant Esteve de Soleria.

Economy

The economy of the Grand Duchy of Soleria is diverse and has a wide variety of sectors.
