General Information
The Soviet Union of the Traversay Islands is a Micronation , currently located in the US , and claimed territory in the Traversay Island Group, previously claimed by the Russian Empire. The self proclaimed sovereign state has a permanent population of 10, and has four districts.
Brief History
The Soviet Union originally declared independence on 30 December 1922 and was disbanded on 26 December 1991. The modern incarnation is now considered the original Soviet Union's de facto Successor state, claiming islands originally claimed by the Russian Empire and, technically absorbed into the original Soviet Union, but are now unclaimed by any Macronations.
General Government Information
The modern incarnation is now a Unitary Party Marxist-Leninist State, with Gorbachev's original Perestroika reforms in order. The state is ruled by a temporary council of Ministers from each district. .
