State of Bukharia, more commonly known as Bukharia, is a self-proclaimed state with territorial claim situated in Central Asia (on border of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) region. Bukharia can be described as a micronation by external observers due to lack of recognition and the minimal control over the regions it holds territorial claims upon.
Bukharia is Caliphate, under rule of Amir al-Mu'minin Abu Maryam al-Hanafiyyah. Bukharia has goal to implement Sharia in a normal way in 21th century. Bukharia declared sovereignty over plot on border of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on 13 januar 2021.
Etymology
Bukharia is diminutive of Bukhara, region in Uzbekistan on border of Turkmenistan.
History
Abu Maryam learned about micronation concept in late 2020, on the Russian Wikipedia. He discussed with few brothers from madrasa about founding new micronation based on Islamic principles. Bukharia was founded 13 januar 2021 officially and Diwan elected Abu Maryam as first leader.
Government & Religion
Bukharia is a theocratic elected monarchy, led by Amir al-Mu'minin Abu Maryam. Law of land is Sharia according to the interpratation of Hanafiyyah madhab and Maturidiyyah kalam.
Diwan is assembly of Bukharia, consists of all male population of Bukharia. Diwan can elect new Amir in case of resignation of old Amir, apostasy or death.
