This template can be placed at the very top of pages to let editors and administrators know that a page is being actively improved. Please continue to actively edit articles the WIP template is used on so they are not mistaken for an abandoned pages. The Work-in-progress template does not make an article immune to deletion or other quality control processes, especially if it has not been edited for seven days. Pages marked with this template are sent to Category:Work-in-progress pages.

This template should be removed if the page has not been edited for more than seven days. This template can detect when the last revision to the page was made. If the last revision to a page was more than seven days ago, it will display a different message and will place the page into Category:Pages marked as work-in-progress for more than seven days.
