Transterrian Independence Day, also known as Independence Day or the Fifth of May, is a federal holiday in the Federated States of Transterra commemorating the day Transterra declared independence from the United States of America. The date is significant in the fact that Edward Daniels, 1st President of Transterra declared himself President and declared the foundation of Transterra as an independent nation-state, free from American rule.
History
The Federated States of Transterra declared independence from the United States of America on May 5, 2018. The Declaration of Independence was written and signed by Edward Daniels which ultimately created the nation-state and declared Daniels the 1st President of the Federated States.
