"Valdres" Recorded on 4 May 2023 by the HRF Amateur Symphonic Band.

Valdres, also known as Valdres March, is the current national anthem of the Holy Republic of FRID and was composed by Johannes Hanssen.

The march is named after the Valdres region in Norway. Originally composed in 1904,[1] the HRF adopted it as its national anthem, first unofficially in March 2023 and later officially in May of the same year. At the time it was adopted, no lyrics were created. However, the HRF still considered the piece as its national anthem.

On 4 May 2023, the HRF made a recording of the anthem performed by the Fridian Amateur Symphonic Band. In the recording, a trumpet solo plays the opening theme. Measure 16 adds a clarinet duet and gives the melody to the baritone horn section. At measure 32, the piece has a dramatic change in volume and feel with aggressive percussion followed by a new melody in the trombone section. Following this is a bombastic variation of the original theme played by the low brass section. The march ends with a crescendo to the last note of the theme. The Fridian version of the anthem is a slight variation on the original composition.
