The Vyktoryan general election of 2015 will be an election in the Commonwealth of Vyktory.

History

July to September 2014

After the 2014 election, Joshua Wilson, the sole Freedom Party representative contributed to government for a short amount of time, before renouncing his Vyktoryan citizenship on 28 August 2014 in the midst of a disagreement between him and then President James-Robert Knight. Soon after his renunciation, Alyssa Cooke had stepped up for the job, and was accepted by a vote 2-0 in favour. Alyssa, at the time an independent soon joined the Social Libertarian Party, thus effectively making Vyktory a one party state.

October 2014 to December 2014

A few months into Alyssa's term, it was found that she was under the minimum political age of 12, being 10 years of age. President Knight suspended her from office until a bill reducing the age to 10 was passed. The reasoning behind this mistake was believed to be human error, as Knight believed the minimum age was 10 and that Alyssa was 12. Soon after that, Single Transferable Vote was made the new electoral system, with the particular system of STV used to be Meek STV. Later in the day of that announcement, Moffattville voted to cede back to Australia.

January 2015 to February 2015

On 6 January 2015, James-Robert Knight revoked the constitution and made himself King, with an election for the position of Monarch to be held later on as well as the new parliament system, then on 30 January 2015, James altered the constitution to make the position of Monarch hereditary. On 18 February 2015, James declared himself autocratic ruler over Vyktory and cancelled the elections.

July 2015 to Present

On 26 July 2015, James-Robert Knight returned democracy to Vyktory, thus restarting the election cycle. On 28 July 2015, James-Robert rebranded the Social Libertarian Party as the Liberal Party and began running on a classical liberalist ideology.
