Wadi (Arabic: وَادِي, romanized: wādī), alternatively wād (Arabic: وَاد), North African Arabic Oued, is the Arabic term traditionally referring to a valley. In some instances, it may refer to a wet (ephemeral) riverbed that contains water only when heavy rain occurs.
