The Colony of Wangatangia is a constitutional monarchy based in the Trenton, Ontario area. It started by an individual named Jacob Mayjames, who decided he would start a war with the Kingdom of Baustralia. During this 'war', he proclaimed his house as a new country. Even though he had won a fight, the win was still indecisive, as both parties had benefited.
Etymology
The name originated from the "Urban Dictionary", which listed it as some one with large male genitalia. Jacob Mayjames had repetitively called John this term, and when the idea of starting a micronation came, John suggested he call it Wangatangia, so the citizens would be called Wangatangs. Originally it was called a republic, though it was not a republic due to the country having a sovereign and a prime minister, called a president, instead of solely a president. It was changed to Dominion to better reflect its status.
In October 2019, the Colony Act was passed through Baustralian parliament to change all the Dominions' name from Dominion of to Colony of to reflect the governing by Parliament rather than the Colony's own legislature.
History
The dominion was formed when Mayjames asked the Kingdom to go to war. The Kingdom refused as they were just one person, and there would not be any benifits, so Mayjames created a republic, and threatened to take over the Kingdom. The Baustralian government decided they needed to fight to stop the republic. After a quick fight, a treaty was signed to hand the republic to the crown of Baustralia to be created into a dominion of the crown.
Military
The military of Wangatangia, the Wangatang Task Forces (W.T.F.) is a subsidiary of the Baustralian Armed Forces, and comprises only of a navy, the Wangatang fleet.
