Etymology

The Dominion Of Woodland, more commonly known as Woodland, is a small micronation located in Swaffum Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire , England. The Woodish Federation got it's name from a tree in Ethan's local park, making the symbol after a plane flew over.

History

The Empire was formed on July 10th, 2023 by Ethan Woodroffe after a mishap with Cristoria (see politics and government). Ethan is a 13 year old curious and creative leader who believes in Conservatism in Woodland. He also thinks Socialism is a good choice too, but he despises the "root of communism."

They have imposed unjust laws upon Woodland without the consent of its people.

They have levied taxes upon the inhabitants of Woodland without representation in the British Parliament.

They have failed to recognize the right of Woodland to govern itself in accordance with the principles of liberty and justice.

They have suppressed the aspirations of the Woodland people for self-determination and independence.

In every stage of these oppressions, we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A British government that would resort to such unjust measures as to disregard the rights of a micronation like Woodland has shown itself to be unworthy of its role in the international community.

Therefore, Woodland, representing the will of its people and their inalienable right to self-determination, hereby declares itself an independent and sovereign micronation, free from the oppressive rule of the United Kingdom. Woodland shall henceforth assume its separate and equal station among the nations of the world and exercise all powers of self-governance and diplomacy. In support of this declaration, Woodland pledges to uphold the principles of liberty, justice, and environmental stewardship upon which it was founded.

We, the representatives of Woodland, in accordance with the will and consent of our people, appeal to the international community to recognize our independence and sovereignty, and to establish diplomatic and friendly relations with our newly-formed nation.

Border Security and Prevention of Illegal Entry Bill


Preamble

In recognition of the unique geographical position of Woodland, a micronation within the territory of Swaffum Bulbeck, United Kingdom, and with a commitment to the principles of peaceful coexistence, environmental stewardship, and territorial integrity, the following Border Security and Prevention of Illegal Entry Bill is established to outline the legal framework governing border security in Woodland.


Article I: Border Security Authority

1. A Border Security Authority (BSA) shall be established and entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the territorial integrity and security of Woodland.


2. The BSA shall have the authority to establish and manage border checkpoints, enforce border security measures, and maintain records of border crossings.
