The 2021 Benjastanian presidential election will be held on 20 June 2022. Benjastan uses a runoff election system, in which the two candidates with the highest percentage in the first vote advance to a second round of voting if no candidate receives an absolute majority. Incumbent president Ben Olson announced on 10 May 2021 that he would not run for a third term.
Background
On June 25 2020, Ben Olson receieved 55.6% of the vote in the presidential elections, so no runoff was needed. Olson defeated Governor Crispin Speakman of the Independent Conservative Party and Governor Mo Olson of the Independence Party.
