2023 Arstotzkan Census
The 2023 Arstotzkan Census, which took place on 22 April 2023, was the first ever census of its kind in Arstotzkan History. Although the 2023 Census was the first completed in history, it was not the first census undertaken. Previous attempts were made to conduct census' across the Arstotzkan with one in 2020 prior to the election and one in 2022 to properly understand the population of the Arstotzkan Union.
On 12 April 2023, the Chairman of the Department of the State of the Arstotzkan Union announced that the department would create the Arstotzkan Bureau of Information and Records to store and collect the data.
Nearly a year later, the Arstotzkan Federal Government announced a yearly census would take place and official legislation and guidelines around its operation and the protection of public information was made in the form of the Census and Statistics Collection Act 2024[1]. The next census took place on 31 March 2024 and to reoccur yearly on this date.
Census
On the night of 22 April 2023, an email containing a Google Form was sent to 13 individuals which controlled or resided in the 15 territories. Respondents were asked which territory they lived in or were in charge of, and how many people resided in the territory.
Results
By the morning of the 23rd, the Census was called a success and for the first time, population data was correct for the Arstotzkan Union. Prior to the census, the estimated population was 2,825 following the census this was announced to be 2,426.

Past Data
Prior to the 2023 Census, some data was highly estimated as no proper census was ever successful. For the Severoamerikansky Territory, State Representative, Ethan Brinkman had previously set the population at 2,660 in line with the estimated data for the territory but after consolation with the Territory Commander it was discovered that the area claimed by the Arstotzkan Union only had about 1,800 residents. Also no data existed for the Tangata Raki Territory prior to the Census as the territory was only incorporated on 21 April 2023.
