Elected Leader

Sir Oliver Doig

On the evening of 31 October 2023, a Conservative Party leadership election was tabled in the House of Commons of Baustralia to all Conservative Party members. By the dismissal of the House the next day, Aidan McGrath was elected leader. After 24 days, he resigned, and the party unanimously supported Doig's return in a second, very brief, much less notable, election. The first election was notable for Doig's response to McGrath, using solely a reference to an internet meme.
