The awards and decorations of Ela'r'oech are part of a series of honorific decor granted to qualifying Elarians and foreigners for deeds which have benefited the nation in some way. This system takes most inspiration from the awards and decorations of the United States Armed Forces. The first form of awards in Ela'r'oech was introduced in 2020 and continued up to 2023, when it was cancelled and replaced with a revised system. There are three forms of awards in Ela'r'oech: Ribbons or Medals, awarded for recognition of merit in the form of military service; Decorations, awarded to recognize merit in the form of cultural or scientific advancement in Ela'r'oech; and Titular Honorifics, a minor form of honorific, as a form of address to show respect. It should be noted that Titular Honorifics are not officially given by any form of government in Ela'r'oech, however is more cultural and determined by citizens themselves.

The first Elarian award, the Elarian Badge of Freedom, awarded from 2020 to 2021.

History

The first form of awards in Ela'r'oech was introduced in September 2020 during the Alarian War, with the Elarian Badge of Freedom and Ela'r'oech Badge of Valor. After the Second Alarian War, the Golden Cross would be introduced in 2021 as well as Spirit To Spirit, both of which were mostly given to those who had contributed to the culture of the Empire. In 2022, multiple awards were made such as Knight of the Empire, Honorary Royal of the Empire, and Military Cross. These awards were for those who were knighted, honorarily in the Royal family, or served in the armed forces, respectively. The final award from the first system to be introduced was 'Seviceman of the Elarian Emperor' which was only awarded to one individual who served as the Emperor's personal bodyguard throughout 2022.

Following the introduction of the second system, all awards of the first were immediately determined obsolete. Three awards were introduced to the second system for those who had served in the Elarian-Alarian Conflict. It was awarded to over ten individuals before being made obsolete, as it was determined it should as the conflict was completed. The first three awards introduced to the second system were the Elarian Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Brave Conduct Medal. The Elarian Service Medal and Brave Conduct Medal are both ribbons and medals awarded for military service. The Good Conduct Medal is currently the only award attainable by citizens which is awarded for cultural advancement or exceptional behavior in the Empire.
