The Brelian Empire, or simply known as Brelia is a micronation, located on the South bank of the Danube. It was established on 5 May 2023 by the current monarch, King George I.

Politics and government

The Brelian Empire is an absolute monarchy, with the King or Queen serving as the head of state. The monarch holds ultimate power and makes all major decisions, but they are advised by a de facto head of government, who is the Monarch's consort. The Monarch's consort is responsible for running the day-to-day affairs of the government, including managing the parliament and overseeing the implementation of policies.

The parliament of the Brelian Empire consists of two chambers: the House of Lords and the House of Representatives. The House of Lords is made up of members appointed by the monarch, while the House of Representatives is elected by the people. Both chambers have equal power, and both are required to approve any major legislation or decision.

There are only two political groups allowed in the Brelian Empire: the Heghs and the Fyrris. The Heghs are a conservative party that support the monarchy and the status quo. They believe in maintaining traditional values and protecting the interests of the ruling class. The Fyrris, on the other hand, are a progressive party that advocate for greater democracy and social justice. They seek to give a voice to the common people and challenge the power of the monarchy.

Despite their differences, both parties are required to work together for the good of the country. The monarch's consort serves as a mediator between the two groups, helping to find common ground and broker compromises. While the system may seem restrictive, it is designed to ensure stability and prevent the sort of political turmoil that can come with a more open system.
