Charbonneau is a city in the Province of Wellington, Commonwealth of Faltree. It is located in the US state of Oregon. It was established by Hunt Powell and Asher Young. Previously, Charbonneau was merely a territory in the State of Faltree.

History

Charbonneau was first established as a Faltrian territory on 1 June 2022, the land being ceded to Faltree by the city of Nolius (present-day State of Avon). From then until the State of Faltree was officially dissolved on 20 April 2023, the territory served little purpose beyond simply existing as a Faltrian exclave in the Pacific Northwest. When the Commonwealth of Faltree was established on 29 July 2023, however, Charbonneau was incorporated into the Province of Wellington. It presently holds the title of capital of the Province of Wellington, and is home to the Leschi National Rivershore.

Geography and climate

Charbonneau is situated upon the Columbia River, bordering the Avonite boroughs of Wishram and Shaniko, while also being in close proximity to the borough of Seaman Island. It is characterized by fields of tall, dry yellow grass, cliffs of columnar basalt, and a small beachhead. It experiences intense wind and dryness in the summer season, and a wetter and moderately cold climate during the winter. Charbonneau encompasses an area of 0.542 mi² (1.404 km², 7.22 ac).
