Alias

It is a political norm in Sorrenia to adopt an alias, utilising a pseudonym and alternative portrait. Claire is named after Via Aurelia, a road and area in Rome. Her portrait is Virginia Raggi, a Roman politician.

Political Campaigner

Unlike most Sorrenian politicians, Claire did not engage in the War of the Sorrenian Succession, instead joining the New Monarchists after King Ronald I had ascended to the throne. Although she was not chosen as a candidate, Claire campaigned ardently for the New Monarchists in the April 2018 election, and was quickly noticed by party leadership.

Claire was appointed as a party researcher, largely tasked with the production of domestic bills for the party leadership. Here, she showed her ability to produce documents of high quality, and she helped create laws relating to religious tolerance and the economic agenda.

Claire was ultimately moved to focus on the growing transport department, and created a robust theoretical map of metro lines running throughout all of Sorrenia, connecting each of the three major geographical regions.

MP for Lanchester

By the June election, Claire had become widely known as a reliable monarchist figure with a capacity for high-quality work; as a result, she was chosen to represent the party in Lanchester where she subsequently won election. Given her success in creating the Sorrenian Metro plan, Claire was chosen to be the Minister for Transport.

While Minister for Transport, Claire honed her Metro Line plan, and also created a list of designated international airports, outlining countries of service, suspected number of passengers and the economic value of the market.

Politics

Claire is a member of the Centrists within the New Monarchists, and has at times urged the government to moderate its economic policy; she also concluded that the government should consider the nationalisation of key aspects of transport, including rail and air travel.

Claire is perhaps best described as a party loyalist. Although an open monarchist who supports the strong style of monarchy in Sorrenia, Claire works most closely with party officials, and has modelled herself as a reliable and loyal figure within the party.
