Commonwealth - Empire War: Tauranga's Forgotten War is a 2024 documentary directed, written and staring the Arstotzkan Union's First President, Ethan Brinkman. The documentary is centred around the Commonwealth-Empire War the largest micronational war in New Zealand's history. It also stars many political leaders from the nations involved in the war and gives an in depth analysis of the war.

The documentary is the third documentary produced by the Arstotzkan Union National News Network as a part of the Special Reports Series, however it is the first produced by InterFilms.com. The company which was formed in 2016 was originally a subsidiary of Pacific AeroStar Aircraft until it was shut down in 2019. Years later in 2024 the company was restarted and the brand was purchased from PAA Holdings and became a state-owned media department under the Arstotzkan Press Directorate.

Background

The plan for a documentary about the Commonwealth-Empire War began in November 2022 following the end of the war. The Arstotzkan Union announced it would led the production however it was later halted and no new ground was made on it.

In late-February 2024 the Arstotzkan Union Department of the Interior and Arstotzkan Press Directorate announced it would be acquiring InterFilms.com a former movie production department of Pacific AeroStar Aircraft created by Ethan Brinkman in 2016.

On 3 March 2024, Ethan Brinkman announced he would directing a documentary around the Commonwealth-Empire War. Ethan also commented that the acquisition of InterFilms.com was to ensure that Ormsby-Miller Production would still be able to work on Blackman: RR and allow better government control over AUNNN documentaries and productions. This was also done to reduce government control over the movie industry in the Arstotzkan Union.

Production

Production was announced to begin on 4 March 2024. Although leaders of the nations who were involved the war had not officially confirmed their involvement, the Arstotzkan Union stated it would push ahead with regardless.
