The Communist Party of Faltree was a Marxist–Leninist–Maoist party active in the Commonwealth of Faltree. It was founded on 22 November 2023 by Logan Ferguson, who served as the first and only chair of the party. It had seven party members at its peak and was a member of the Faltrian Left Front. Following a vote of no confidence for Ferguson's position as Provincial Governor of Breuckelen, the party was subsequently reformed into a secessionist movement against the Faltrian government.
Ferguson secession attempt
Logan Ferguson assumed the position of Provincial Governor of Breuckelen on December 4, 2023, following an uncontested election. His tenure was marked by controversy, as he drew the displeasure of notable citizens who had not voted for him. Notably, Ferguson made minimal policy contributions, opting instead to change the flag of Breuckelen to a design by Matthew Laptev.
On 16 December 2023, Ferguson declared martial law in Breuckelen, citing alleged rioting by members of the Constitutional Democratic Party, which was later revealed to be nonexistent. Facing criticism from Faltrian citizens and comments on his weight, Ferguson escalated his control over Breuckelen, declaring a "dictatorship of the proletariat" and threatening to suspend elections until the purported riots ceased. Lord-Secretary Hunt Powell promptly challenged Ferguson's unconstitutional actions, initiating a vote of no confidence. In a unanimous decision by Breuckelen citizens, Ferguson was voted out of office.
Preempting his official removal, Ferguson resigned and renounced his Faltrian citizenship, transforming the People's Republic of Niagara's Discord server into the "Faltrian Revolutionary Socialist Republic." In response, the Commonwealth of Faltree illegalized the Communist Party of Faltree, citing attempts to secede and undermine the Faltrian Proletariat. Experiencing what appeared to be a mental breakdown, evidenced through Microwiki edit summaries, Ferguson ceased his attempts to undermine Faltree in the early hours of 17 December. Later the same day, Ferguson would use the groundwork of the failed succession to reform the Union of Micronational Socialist Republics.
