The Deputy Prime Minister of Yalta, sometimes abbreviated to DPM, is the second highest ranking Minister of the Crown and a member of the Yaltan Cabinet. The office is not always in use, and alternatively the office of First Secretary of State can be used as a quasi-Deputy Prime Minister.

Powers

The office of Deputy Prime Minister is not always in use and Prime Ministers may use other offices, such as First Secretary of State, to indicate seniority. The Deputy Prime Minister also has no automatic right to succession to the prime ministry. However, in the absence of a Prime Minister the Deputy Prime Minister can deputise for them in their absence.

Appointment

Candidates for Deputy Prime Minister is one of the number of ministerial nominations the Prime Minister makes to the Monarch who then appoints the DPM.
