Chicago was founded on 4 September 2023. Named after an American city called Chicago, this city served as the Capital City of the North Region of Arland. The city has a population of 3 (all ducks) at the moment but plans to have more during the next census, taking place in 2024.

The city was given back to the United States after Arland's disestablishment, however the city was brought back when Filikigi was formed.

History

The city of Chicago was founded on 4 September 2023, becoming a city of Arland and started serving as the Capital City of the North Region on 1 October 2023. The city was given back to the United States after Arland's disestablishment, however the city was brought back when Filikigi was formed.

Government

The City of Chicago is a Pure Democracy meaning that once a month, usually on the 3rd Sunday, Chicago's population votes on laws, ordinances, construction, etc. for the city. The Fili Government also has partial power over the city.

Climate & Geography

Chicago's geography is in a forest with Foo Fighters Lake in the center. The climate, like the rest of the country, is Temperate and follows a four-seasons pattern, usually getting cold in October and warmer in April. The city, like the rest of the country, does not observe Daylight Saving Time and has no plans to switch unless voted by the citizens of the city.

Culture

Landmarks

Foo Fighters Lake is located in the center of Chicago, with an observation deck overlooking the lake. Lakeside Drive circles the lake, however along the ride the view is blocked occasionally.

Treebranch Bridge connects Laine Island to the rest of Chicago. The bridge is currently under reconstruction, as the log connecting the two sides is starting to rot.

Food

Just like in Chicago, Illinois it is a common saying to never put ketchup on a hotdog. It is common for Chicagoers to not put ketchup on a hotdog, including the Chicago-dog, a hotdog bun with a hotdog sausage, pickes between the two, and meat sauce on top.

Infrastructure

Healthcare

Chicago has one hospital, Chicago People’s Hospital. The hospital has 4 buildings, all representing a branch. The Main Building (general visits for vaccines, medicine pickup, etc, and the lobby,) the Clinical Building (works like a neighborhood clinic, bigger things such as surgeries and out-of-routine exams will be in the other two branches,) the Children’s Building (meant for children, does surgeries, exams, etc.,) and the Adult Building (does the same operations as the children’s building, but for adults and childbirth.)

Transportation

Highway 2 passes through Chicago on it's east side, and also connects the city to Woodhaven and Athenia. No public transportation exists in the city.

Roads

Filikigi Highway 2 comes in east of Chicago from the United States and goes through the city, around the lake, acts as a divider between Athenia and Woodhaven. The highway then enters the United States before ending at a road. The bike path was ranked 2nd for most traffic from a Fili Highway. Intersections 1-3 on Highway 2 are Chicago's intersections.

Lakeside Drive circles Foo Fighters Lake, and Wabash Street (named after Wabash Street in Chicago) connects Lakeside Drive to Highway 2. Hill Avenue and Stewart Street (the other 2 intersections) may be used to get to
