Hokoria is a micronation in West Yorkshire, a county in the United Kingdom. It is a state where the Head of State is a member of the Hokorian Royalty, and the Leader of Hokoria is democratically elected.

The Head of State oversees Hokoria, which includes ensuring that government follows the nation's core values and ensuring democracy is maintained. The current Head of State of Hokoria is Willow Dziedzic I. There is one government, called the Hokorian Government. The Hokorian Government is overseen by the Leader of Hokoria, who is democratically elected to serve up to 5 one month terms. The Hokorian Government has six branches which are each individually managed by their own Government Branch Officers. Government Branch Officers are appointed by the Leader of Hokoria.

The Representative Council works to represent the demands of citizens, and can consist of up to 15 citizens that are appointed to be Members of the Representative Council by the Leader of the Council. The Leader of the Council is democratically chosen by the Members of the Representative Council.

Hokoria was founded following the Republic of Aweland being dissolved. The Head of State of Hokoria also founded Aweland, and created Hokoria to have the same values but a different structure of government. Willow Dziedzic I used connections from Aweland to form foreign relations.

Etymology

The name Hokoria originates from the Japanese word '誇りあ' or 'hokori a' which means proud.

History

Hokoria was founded on 17 December 2022, by Willow Dziedzic I following the dissolvation of the Republic of Aweland.

Foreign relations

The Hokorian Government's Office of Outside Affairs handles foreign matters, including foreign relations. The Head of State launched a foreign relations campaign, where they reached out to leaders of other micronations to sign an Order of Foreign Relations.
