The Smlosian House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Smlosa is the Bicameral legislature of Smlosa and is the sole Legislative entity of the nation, and is composed of the Parliament of Smlosa and the House of Commons, which together make up the House. The King and the Prime Minister both hold seats in the House of Representatives and can both veto legislation by enacting their Representative offices. The Speaker of the House is elected by the members of the House and presides over both Chambers of the House on behalf of the Monarch. The House's composition is both determined by election and by the appointment of Members of Parliament who are appointed to the office by the Monarch. Elections for the House of Commons are held every year in mid to late May, where 7 members are democratically elected - meanwhile, members of the Parliament are appointed and dismissed by the Monarch and serve until death, resignation, or dismissal by the Monarch. The House is charged with the drafting, editing, revising, and passing Legislation known as bills - of these which are passed by the House are then sent to the Prime Minister for consideration, and if signed by the Prime Minister, enacted into law, however the Monarch may veto and override the Prime Ministers decision and can also sign legislation into law via royal decrees.
