The House of Salisbury is the reigning imperial house which rules by hereditary right over the Sitkan Empire and its various tributary and vassal states. Its founder and current head is Emperor Dustinian I.
Etymology
The name "Salisbury" is derived from the surname of Dustinian and the Sitkan Imperial Family. In 2024, the imperial residence was named Salisbury Palace to serve as an ancestral seat for future rulers of the empire and immediate family members of the Salisbury clan.
History
The house was established by Dustinian in 2024 to serve as a hereditary ruling dynasty over his personal domains, which had been previously incorporated into the Sitkan Empire.
Members
There are currently 8 members of the House of Salisbury, either by birthright or connected through marriage. All house members outside of the immediate Imperial Family bear the title of prince or princess with the offspring of the ruling monarch having the elevated title of grand prince or princess.
