The Intermicronational Organization for Standardization (abbr. IMSO) is an independent intermicronational standard development organization known for establishing and managing the directory of IMSO 1 and IMSO 2 codes. The IMSO was established on 23 July 2021 to create an open alternative to different intermicronational w:geocoding systems of the time, most notably RIS-002 and Microcode.

The IMSO functions primarily as an aggregator and refiner of various other standardization systems, but receives a moderate amount of community input as well. Adoption of IMSO standards on a single-sided opt-in basis; no mutual agreement takes place between the IMSO and the interested nation. It is sufficient for a nation to adopt the IMSO's standards with a simple declaration by its legislature.
