The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy, more commonly known as Qarsherskiy (Qarshkī: قارشيرصكئ, Arabic: قارشيرصكئ, Russian: Карширский) is a small self declared Zaydi Muslim country led by Sultan Ali. Qarsherskiy has a prominent local political presence and legitimate goal of independence, with a mainland of 5 square miles (13 square kilometers) on the Virginia Peninsula between York County and the independent U.S. city of Newport News within the United States of America. Qarsherskiy’s government is Zaydi school of Muslim beliefs but tolerates people of all faiths and Islamic sects as long as local customs and traditions are respected. Making up 81% of the country, Qarsherskiy’s Muslim population is 37.1% Sunni Muslim, 53.5% Zaydi Shi'a Muslim, 7.1% Twelver/Jafari Shi’a Muslim, and 0.3% Ibadi Muslim. Qarsherskiy also has 17 Alawites. Qarsherskiy has control of autonomous regions such as IslamOhio Beach on the shores of Lake Erie between Lorain and Vermilion in Ohio, Aidenistan Province within West Virginia near the Maryland border, Qarsherskiy also has the Qarsherskiy Overseas Territories in the Maldives and in Antarctica (some people working on bases in Antarctica have been convinced to get dual citizenship with Qarsherskiy). Qarsherskiy has a population of 2,485 people, with 57 citizens living in the capital city of Qarsherabad. The Islamic Sultanate was first envisioned in the year 1991, and in 2019, it was formally established by “Powerplant” 'Aisha, from the Powerplant group, when she declared Qarsherskiy as a legitimate state. On 28 March 2023, Qarsherskiy elected its first Sultan to start the royal bloodline and declared independence from the United States. Qarsherskiy is famous for being one of the more legit and serious micronations, with a small military and a grip on the Wax Myrtle and bamboo trade. Qarsherskiy is an Islamic nation and Islam is the most widely followed religion in Qarsherskiy. The Holy Qur'an and Sunnah/Hadith are part of Qarsherskiy‘s laws. Qarsherskiy also sees itself as the successor of the Khwarizm empire and the Gunpowder empires taking inspiration and cultural influence from those two empires. Because Qarsherskiy is an Islamic Theocracy which declared independence from the United States of America, for various reasons which are arguably rational, many Americans hate on Qarsherskiy and Qarsherskiy has had to defend itself from neo-nazis using mainly fireworks. This has caused lots of criticism and put a dent in the reputation of Qarsherskiy, however, Qarsherskiy is not a threat to the USA and Americans are generally safe and allowed to travel freely through public property within Qarsherskiyan territory.
Religious History
Qarsherskiy started out pre-independence as a tolerant country which allows all sects and religions as long as local and Islamic customs and law is respected. In August of 2023, the short-lived Salafi Revolution saw Sultan Ali Aq-Qarsherskiyy At-Tarīq purge many non-Salafi people from the government, becoming a Salafi himself, and persecuting Shi’a Muslims. In late September of 2023, the Ismaili Shi’a Militia from the newly annexed province of Astara began debating with sultan Ali. On 22 September 2023 at 1:00pm, Qarsherskiy temporarily became an Ismaili Shiite state and the government used the incoming Potential Tropical Cyclone 16, also called the Storm of the Ismailis, to distract radical Wahhabis and Salafis who would’ve killed members of the new government for their conversion. The new government took their weapons and revoked their citizenships, giving it back to any individual who remained loyal and non-threatening who agreed not to take up arms. Nearly 1000 people gained Qarsherskiyan citizenship after waiting a long time with no approval due to them being non-Salafi or non-Sunni. After exploring religion and briefly aspiring to be an Ismaili country, Qarsherskiy's government became very worn out after much back-and-forth debate about which sect of Islam to govern the country with. Qarsherskiy became a Zaydi Shi'a Muslim country on 16 October 2023 at 8:00pm EST. The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy has been through lots of religious revolutions and the situation remained unclear for much of the first 7 months post-independence.

Demographics
Members of the Royal family are mainly ethnically Qarsherskiyan. The majority of the population belongs to the same ethnic group. According to the census of 2023, 96% of the population is Qarsherskiyan, the rest being various ethnic minorities. The official religion of Qarsherskiy is Islam, however, Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims each make up nearly half of all Muslims in Qarsherskiy and while they usually get along, sometimes they fight over political things that are more about political control than religion.
Languages of Qarsherskiy
There are many official languages of Qarsherskiy, Qarshki, Russian, and Arabic being just a few. Arabic is the language of religion, with English being the language spoken by the royal family and in educational and professional settings. Qarshki is the administrative language of Qarsherskiy, the language itself naturally developing from a Conlang.
Most laws and government business conducted by the Sultan is in Qarsherskiy. 46% of the people who live in the nation speak Qarshki as of the 2023 language census, and 37% of respondents opted to take the census in Qarshki. Most radio and TV produced in the nation is in Qarshki. However, almost everyone in the nation speaks English.
Education
Education in the Sultanate is very important, with most citizens educated in religious schools and some members of the elite going to school in the USA and other countries. Education is free in the nation and the government is investing heavily in the education system. Education is managed by the Qarsherskiy Royal Education Board (Qarshki: تاج سلطان التعلم taj sultan altaealum)
Etymology
The name "Qarsherskiy" comes from the Qarshkī language and it literally means "from the live oak tree that has heart-shaped leaves".
History
In 1991, the Islamic Emirate of Qarsheirskii was only a concept. It wasn't until the year 2019 that founder Powerplant 'Aisha announced the establishment of the state. Four years later on 28 March 2023, Qarsherskiy declared independence from the United States of America and elected the first Sultan and Emir. On 12 September 2023 the Emir role as a co-leader was replaced with Pasha and Lee “Azrael” Pasha because the first Pasha of Qarsherskiy.
Lake 'Aydn County
Lake 'Aydn was built as two stormwater retention ponds with a road on a causeway that seperates the two ponds and an underwater concrete pipe below the causeway connecting the two ponds. They became known as Lake 'Aydn East basin and Lake 'Aydn West basin. Young and older pine trees and a few maple trees are the main kind of plants around Lake 'Aydn. Lake 'Aydn was annexed into the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy in April of year 2023 as only people from Qarsherskiy occupied the area and it had important historical ties to Qarsherskiy. Lake 'Aydn was named after Aiden Stalnik, a young American man who lived in Newport News, Virginia at the time and was a friend of the beloved sultan of Qarsherskiy. Aiden could often be seen standing in the lake and playing, easily recognizable by his light blond hair. Later in April that year, Qarsherskiy annexed the BasaraQ Triangle and Qarsherskiy Islamic International Airport, allowing US police and park rangers to assist Qarsherskiy in a shared governance of those areas. Qarsherskiy's government decided to administer them under Lake 'Aydn County along with the actual basins of Lake 'Aydn which does require a passport to visit and doesn't allow foreign governments inside, unlike the BasaraQ Triangle and Qarsherskiy Islamic International Airport.
Lake Qarsherskiy
Lake Qarsherskiy was built as a stormwater retention basin in an already existing low-lying marsh in a weekly floodplain. The goal of its creation was to mitigate flood damage on the suburbs and allow sediment and mud in the drainage ditches to have a pond where the water flow would spread out, deepen, and slow down, causing sediment to drop out of the water and then cleaner waters would flow out the pond as they continue down stormwater ditches.
Before Lake Qarsherskiy was occupied by Qarsherskiy, it was controlled by a group of Neo-Nazis called the Federated States of Bombenfein. Here is how the Neo-Nazis got there and why Qarsherskiy ended up invading and annexing it, naming it Lake Qarsherskiy and kicking out anyone with racist views.
On the 14 July 2005, local kids began exploring the pond illegally, despite "No Trespassing" signs and warnings from the city. The forested pond had become home to 86 bird species, multiple turtle species, frogs, toads, fish, lizards, snakes, and much more wildlife and provided romantic scenery hidden by trees for teens to go on dates and be in a private spot. On the 7th of August in 2016, a few 15-year-old Nazi enthusiasts used the ponds that had become clogged with reeds, duckweed, and cattails as a place to play hide and seek and build forts as many other kids did. These young kids called themselves the Bombenfein Group. The name comes from a Germanic-language-based code they invented meaning that they were put there by pagan gods to exterminate the black people which made up half of Newport News' population. These young racist white pagan extremists spent their days being edgy and making racist jokes as well as building improvised and advanced weaponry, unfortunately. When they grew up and bought farms with help from their rich parents, they claimed to be a micronation as a joke to imitate and mock nearby Qarsherskiy, which declared independence from the USA and set its capital city mere feet from the neo-Nazi kids' childhood pond. By March 2023, Qarsherskiy officially declared independence from the USA and drew its borders to include multiple locations around the world, including a Newport News property which had a house with multiple smaller apartments and a storage shed and a small woodland and some grassy lawn and a gravel driveway. This property had 57 registered residents and was named Qarsherabad, the capital of Qarsherskiy. The Muslims who lived in Qarsherskiy who declared independence from the USA had grown up getting into fights with the neo-Nazis of FSB and saw FSB's declaration of being a micronation to be mockery of Qarsherskiy. Qarsherskiy has legit reasons to be independent while the FSB just said they were independent and didn't have any real reasons. On 30 March 2023 between 8 and 9am, the following series of events took place which would cause the biggest change in Lake Qarsherskiy's history. Caught between the American City of Newport News, militant pagan neo-Nazis, and the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy; these waters would become a massive battlefield for a war in which 0 deaths would occur and several drones and rockets would be fired up. Not long after 8am, Emir Powerplant Ali, an authority comparable to a vice-president, ordered Qarsherskiyan soldiers to shoot down a small quadcopter drone which illegally flew over Qarsherskiy's airspace. It was taken out with several BBs and a biodegradable confetti cannon. The drone was inspected to have a 4k camera and was ruled to be a spy drone belonging to the FSB (Federated States of Bombenfein). Powerplant Ali, Emir of Qarsherskiy, said Qarsherskiy would declare war on FSB and fired one of Qarsherkiy's Strelyay-Molodoy Missiles, a plastic model rocket stuffed with small, harmless firecrackers that flash, smoke, and make lots of noise but don't hurt people without direct contact, the Strelyay-Molodoy Missile lifted off the roof of the main building in the compound of downtown Qarsherskiy, a residential house, and flew South-Southwest over the street adjacent to the property and a nearby cul-de-sac, reaching over 750 feet high before arriving at airspace above Lake Qarsherskiy where it plummeted directly into the tin roof of a neo-Nazi clubhouse, and scared the daylight out of the two men inside who inspected it and knew exactly what it was, what was inside, and who it came from. One used the anti-Islamic slur "towelhead" in a short speech that Sultan Brennan and his army made a mistake (bad choice) despite the fact that Brennan was in America attending foreign education and had no idea of any conflict arising. FSB declared war on Qarsherskiy so Sultan Brennan (Ali Aq-Qarsherskiy At-Tariq AL-Akbar) was notified immediately via encrypted message. Using a long range Walkie Talkie from Woodside High School in Newport News, USA several miles out, Brennan sent secret code which translated to his declaration of war on the Federated States of Bombenfein. FSB protesters smashed windows of the car belonging to Qarsherskiy's former ambassador in Hampton, Virginia and violently clashed with AL-Ouss AL-Ulooz Islamists in York County who had ties to Qarsherskiy's Dawah program. Qarsherskiy had to take out dozens more spy drones from FSB which continued to violate Qarsherskiyan airspace. On April Fool's Day (10 Ramadan 1444 / 1 April 2023) the government of Qarsherskiy came up with a plan to block FSB members from receiving customers at their businesses, which would ultimately drive them bankrupt and lead to the US-government confiscating their properties, de-legitimizing their claims of being a micronation and preventing them from having a base to send drones from and regroup and possibly ending the FSB neo-Nazi group all together. On the 2nd of April 2023, the Qarsherskiy government publicly announced these plans and fired several Strelyay-Molodoy rockets across the American border and over Belvoir Circle to the retention ponds of Lake Qarsherkiy. The name Lake Qarsherskiy was given to the ponds and the Qarsherskiyan government formed a plan to illegally invade and annex Lake Qarsherskiy and all of the silt islands for crop cultivation, naval training, wildlife protection, and to prevent FSB from regrouping and returning. Ten new residents of Qarsherskiy would be settled there to further legitimize Qarsherkiy's claim and protect wildlife from the conflict and turmoil by preventing FSB from returning which would ultimately cause regional peace and stability. The 10 residents would be required to live in tents and/or forts made of reeds and live in harmony with nature, monitoring and protecting it. Four Marsh Arabs from Southern Iraq applied to become residents, having extensive knowledge of the lifestyle of crafting homes and tools from reeds and living off the land. The other 6 residents are from various different backgrounds. White-tailed deer, squirrels, great-blue herons, egrets, mallard ducks, cardinals, blue-jays, warblers, and other wildlife were observed by the Qarsherskiy park rangers, as the 10 residents are known. They all adopted the peaceful lifestyle and were identified as "Qarsherskiy Marsh Arabs" in the 2023 Qarsherskiy census's update made to include them.
Conflicts
When Qarsherskiy first declared independence, Qarsherskiy used non-lethal weapons for self-defense to show America they weren’t a threat that needed to be dealt with. Neo-Nazi aggressors instantly dragged Qarsherskiy into the PondWater Neo-Nazi “War” which was more of a series of fights, attacks using non-lethal items like air-soft guns, and 2 neo-Nazi attempted stabbing attacks, one of which successfully wounded a Qarsherskiyan. In early June of year 2023, Alawites using social media apps such as TikTok threatened to take over the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy. By the 8th of June, the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy was drug into the Qarsherskiy Civil “War” that also wasn’t really a war which involved several firework attacks, brawls, raids on Qarsherskiyan bazaars, and clashes with tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets. Alawites and Qadiani Muslims, two very different sects considered by most to be too deviant and not Islamic but more like cults, banded together to take over the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy. Sultan Ali Aq-Qarsherskiyy At-Tarīq AL-Akbar had more support from his loyal citizens and instantly his Sunni Nationalist Government as well as Twelver Shi’a supporters launched an assault on the Qadianis and Alawites, burning their tents and campsites near the US-Qarsherskiy border. The so-called “war” is the time when Qarsherskiyan government forces began using fireworks and ended in July of 2023 but a few lone Alawite separatists and Neo-Nazis continued resisting Qarsherskiy’s government until a month later in August.
Foreign relations
Qarsherskiy considers itself a peaceful nation and it prefers to have little international involvement. Qarsherskiy does have a few micronational alliances and is responsible for the famous privateering group Swamp Pirates of Qarsherskiy which actively conducts piracy against neo-Nazis and the enemies of Qarsherskiy.

Geography and climate
Qarsherskiy has hilly terrain and is heavily forested and full of creeks and ponds. Qarsherskiy has a humid subtropical maritime climate with maximum low temperatures getting to 15 °F (-6 °C) and maximum high temperatures in Summer reaching 98 °F (36 °C). It is often rainy in Qarsherskiy with one or zero snowy nights during Winter. Qarsherskiy is located in the region of the Virginia peninsula. When mentioning Qarsherskiy's geography, we only refer to Qarsherabad Capital Province, which now includes Lake Qarsherskiy. Here is how Lake Qarsherskiy became part of the Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy: Sultan Ali Aq-qarsherskiyy At-tarīq Al-Akbar sent a message claiming "The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy is extremely close to the ponds where FSB (Federated States of Bombenfein) live in reed forts and tree houses. The ponds are home to square-shaped silt islands which are heavily forested and home to crops. They allow access to different regions of the ponds on foot as they separate Lake Qarsherskiy into multiple reed-filled ponds. As you can see in this satellite image here, the reeds have many trails in them which are utilized by FSB neo-nazis to wade through the reeds and evade police and authorities who want to press trespassing charges. Qarsherskiy could illegally invade and annex Lake Qarsherskiy and the rectangular islands and clear some spots on one or two of the ponds for kayaking. The Qarsherskiy Navy could train here and crops can be produced," and so Qarsherskiy illegally invaded and annexed Lake Qarsherskiy during Pondwater-Nazi-War.
Economy
Qarsherskiy exports mostly handicrafts, feathers, seafood, spices, and crystals. Qarsherskiy imports lots of raw materials and necessities. The fishing industry in Qarsherskiy is a very profitable industry and the same can be said about the agricultural industry. Wax Myrtle plant and berries make up 28% of Qarsherskiy's GDP while a variety of other things make up the rest. By far, Wax Myrtle is the biggest thing contributing to Qarsherskiy's growing economy.
Taxation
The Islamic Sultanate of Qarsherskiy puts taxes on imports and things being sold at local bazaars to make money to fund military, roads, construction, transport systems, and other commodities.
Culture
In Qarsherskiy, the Muslim population celebrates holidays such as Ramadhan and Eid AL-Fitr. Many pagans in Qarsherskiy celebrate Samhain and the Winter Solstice. Some notable cultural customs in Qarsherskiy include singing Nasheeds and poems and kite fighting. Alcohol is seen as bad to people from Qarsherskiy and it is not publicly drank or used to clean cuts. Qarsherskiy is very multicultural and the official languages of Qarsherskiy are English, Persian, Arabic, Kurdish, Qarshkī, Turkish, Urdu, and Russian. The culture of the ethnic Qarsherskiyan people is influenced by Islamic and Caribbean culture as well as Persian art and literature.

Politics and government

He can pass or reject laws and create, destroy, or change taxes and laws. The Sultan of Qarsherskiy has the power to declare war or peace and give messages and orders to the public.

Law and order
In Qarsherskiy's criminal justice system, everyone is innocent until proven guilty of a crime and everyone has the right to a lawyer and the right to remain silent.
